Equipment-free movement education

Learn to move with nothing but space and structure.

Bioswash runs small-group workshops in central Melbourne where participants explore bodyweight technique, pacing, and considered practice. Every session is shared as general educational content, not personal instruction.

Our approach

A studio built around clarity, not intensity.

We treat movement as something worth understanding slowly. Sessions are organised so participants can follow each idea, ask questions, and decide what suits them on the day.

See how a series works
01

Space before equipment

Every drill is designed to work in an open room. There is nothing to buy, carry, or set up before you can take part.

02

Explained, then explored

Facilitators describe the intention behind each pattern so the reasoning is clear, then leave room for individual pace.

03

General guidance only

Content is educational and broad in nature. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional about your own situation.

Inside a session

What a workshop actually feels like.

You arrive, find a spot on the floor, and settle in. The facilitator outlines the theme for the hour, then walks through a handful of patterns at a relaxed pace. There is no leaderboard, no countdown, and no pressure to keep up with anyone else.

  • A short welcome and overview of the theme
  • Unhurried demonstrations with plenty of context
  • Time to try, observe, and ask questions
  • A calm close to reflect on what you noticed
The framework

Four ideas that shape every workshop.

These principles keep our sessions consistent, whether you join once out of curiosity or follow a full series across a season.

01

Understandable

We explain the why behind a movement before the how, so participants leave with reasoning they can think about later.

02

Adaptable

Each pattern is shown with gentler and fuller variations, letting you choose what feels reasonable on the day.

03

Unhurried

Sessions favour attention over speed. Repetition counts are suggestions, never targets to chase.

04

Shared

Learning happens in a small group, where observing others is part of how ideas become familiar.

ArrivalFirst 10 minutes

Settle and set the theme

Find a place on the floor while the facilitator introduces the focus of the session and what to expect from the next hour.

Ease into gentle movement

A relaxed sequence helps everyone tune in to how they are moving today before any pattern work begins.

Explore the patterns

The group works through a small set of bodyweight patterns, with variations offered so each person can adjust the effort.

Slow down and reflect

A calm wind-down gives space to notice what felt clear and to jot down anything worth revisiting at home.

The point was never to push harder. It was to give people a clear, calm way to understand how they move.

Good to know

Questions people ask first.

Do I need any experience to join?
No prior experience is assumed. Sessions are introduced from the ground up, and every pattern is shown with simpler options.
Is any equipment required?
No. The entire format is built around an open floor. Comfortable clothing is all that is suggested.
Is this personal coaching?
Workshops share general educational content with a group. They are not individual coaching and are not tailored to personal circumstances.
How many people attend?
Groups are kept small, with up to twelve seats, so the room stays calm and questions are easy to raise.
