1. Overview
We want our workshops to be a positive experience, and we recognise that plans sometimes change. This policy sets out the circumstances in which a refund, transfer, or credit may apply to a confirmed workshop booking. It applies alongside our Terms of Use and does not limit any rights you may have under Australian law.
Where any booking confirmation we send includes specific terms, those terms apply together with this policy.
2. Eligibility
This policy applies to places that have been confirmed and, where applicable, paid for in advance. Submitting an enquiry through the contact form does not create a booking and therefore does not involve any payment or refund. A booking exists only once we have confirmed your place and any associated arrangements in writing.
3. Cancellation timeframes
If you need to cancel a confirmed place, the following general timeframes apply, measured from the scheduled start of the session:
- More than 7 days before: you may request a full refund or move your place to a later session at no additional cost.
- Between 2 and 7 days before: you may request a transfer to another session, or a credit to use within a reasonable period.
- Less than 48 hours before: refunds may not be available, although we will always consider individual circumstances in good faith.
These timeframes are intended to be reasonable for both you and the small groups we run. We assess every request fairly.
4. Transfers and credits
If a refund is not available under the timeframes above, you may be offered the option to transfer your place to a future session or to receive a credit. Credits are generally valid for a reasonable period from the date they are issued and can be applied to any comparable workshop, subject to availability.
Transfers can usually be arranged once, and we ask that you give us as much notice as possible so we can manage the small group sizes effectively.
5. Changes or cancellations by us
Occasionally we may need to reschedule or cancel a session, for example due to circumstances beyond our control. If this happens, we will let you know as soon as we reasonably can and offer you the choice of a place in an alternative session or a full refund of any amount paid for the affected session.
6. How to request a refund or transfer
To make a request, contact us with the following details so we can locate your booking quickly:
- The name used for the booking;
- The date and theme of the session;
- Whether you would prefer a refund, a transfer, or a credit;
- A brief note of your circumstances, if relevant.
You can send this information through our contact page or by email. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days.
7. Refund method and timing
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned using the same method that was used for the original payment, unless we agree otherwise with you. Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 10 business days, although the time it takes to appear in your account may depend on your payment provider.
8. Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation. Where such rights apply, they operate in addition to the arrangements described here. If there is any inconsistency, your statutory rights prevail.
